Founder
Hi, my name is Kira, and I am the founder of HealthRoots NYC. I am a current high school senior who is passionate about health and creative writing. I created this organization to connect youth to community service opportunities, to engage youth in medical discussions, and bridge health inequities. A fun fact about me is that I love cats and am a bubbly person. I have a poetry manuscript called "Mango and Concrete," which are my reflections on growing up in the Little Caribbean.

Hi, my name is Sydney, and I am the co-founder of HealthRoots NYC. I am a current high school senior who is equally as passionate about health, and am an aspiring nurse. I'm incredibly excited to lead this initiative as it is an amazing opportunity for like-minded medical enthusiasts like me to come together to make a meaningful impact even before entering the professional medical field.
